How to find us

The main entrance to the Church Hall is on the Boulevard (behind the Church as you approach from Church Street). However it is easier to bring pushchairs through the main church. If you then go out of the door on the top left hand side you will find an area for ‘buggy parking’ and a door to the hall on your left.

How to join us

The charge for a session in 2010 is £1 per family.

A simple form is all you need to complete so that we have contact details.

Sheila Picken, Cherrie Mowland, Jill Clements, Ismene Durant, Sheila Wright and Christine Handley, to whom we owe many thanks for their hard work behind the scenes and in the kitchen!

Introduction

Our sessions are informal, friendly and good fun, with a splendid mix of carers – Mums, Dads, Grandparents, and Childminders.

The hall is a warm environment with plenty of toys, and interesting craft activities. Each week we focus on something special to make and provide a range of other activities- cooking, water play, listening to stories, and always lots of singing with all the actions!

Every year there is a Christmas party and recently we had an outing on the Steam Train, and a Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

On the third Wednesday each month we spend time in the main Church building when Constance Tyce leads a session which is based around Bible stories.

Housekeeping

We provide a drink and biscuit for each child and tea/coffee for the grown-ups.

Please let us know if your toddler has any allergies, in which case we ask you to bring your own drink and snack for them.

There are baby changing facilities but the Church has no means of disposing of nappies, please take dirty nappies home with you.

Occasionally we organise fundraising activities which we hope you will support.

In 2010 we received a charitable grant which will help us to develop our outside play space.

Your ideas and suggestions for activities are always welcome.

However, if you are unhappy about any aspect of the Toddler group please let Hilary or Constance know, or contact the Vicar.

Security

You are expected to take full responsibility for your child whilst attending the group.

Please do not leave purses or valuables with pushchairs as there is no way in which we can secure this area. Handbags may be left in the kitchen if you prefer.
